This oil painting explores the cooler hues present in a lily pond during the late afternoon.
My inspiration for this piece stems from the work of the Impressionist master, Claude Monet, whose deep fascination with the shifting effects of light at various times of day influenced my approach.
Like Monet, I am drawn to capturing the interplay of light and shadow, and much like his practice of repeatedly painting the same subject to explore these changes, this work shares a connection with my other painting, “Reflections in a Lily Pond,” depicting the same location.
The painting is presented in a clean white frame.
