In this acrylic painting, I wanted to depict the power of a large wave as it crashes onto the beach on a bright, warm summer’s day. Dense foam nets produced by the frothing water create a lacework pattern as the wave breaks. The wind catches the tops of the waves sending spray and spume into the air.
